How and Why I Became A Realtor…
At this point, I’ve shared a lot of info on how the real estate market is changing and how buyers and sellers can best adapt to those changes, though I haven’t actually shared much about how I know all that I know and why you should trust me.
So I thought it might be time to share the Georgia Carrol origin story.
It was actually my father that influenced me to pursue a career in real estate a little over 6 years ago now. Both my Father and my Grandmother have had successful Real Estate careers in Ottawa, so saying that real estate is a Carrol family affair is a bit of an understatement. After years of watching my father work in the industry and my having previously worked in New Home Sales, I decided to follow in my family’s footsteps.
Just like that, I became a third generation Real Estate professional!
Due to my familiarity with both sales and the real estate industry, becoming a realtor felt like a natural fit. While completing my licensing, I had the opportunity to shadow my father and I believe that made all the difference in igniting my passion for Real Estate. It was the perfect, “passing the torch” moment from my father to me, just like his mother had to him many years prior.
And from there I couldn’t be stopped!
The connections that I now get to create with clients while looking for their dream home provides a fulfillment that I hadn’t been able to find in any previous position. I am incredibly grateful for the trust that my clients put in me to be a part of such a significant time in their lives, and I certainly don’t take that honour lightly. By melding my aim to create a quality experience with genuine relationship building, I’ve found a career that I look forward to every day!
When all is said and done, Real Estate is not just my career, it’s a family legacy that I get to carry forward while adding my own Georgia peach stamp on the industry!
