Seller’s Success

Making the choice to sell your home can be an emotional process, and with market trends changing as fast as they are at the moment the process behind selling can also be a daunting one.

However, I’m here to walk you through the steps to selling so that you know exactly what to expect.  Let’s take that first step together!

I typically start the selling process by scheduling an initial assessment of your property.  This assessment allows me to see the current state of the home and learn more of it’s history under your ownership.

Once the initial inspection is complete, I step into research mode.  I look into the current market trends associated with similar properties in similar areas and gather information like average selling price and days on the market.  With that information I am able to provide you with a comparative market analysis that will mitigate expectations and set the tone for our selling strategy.

It is from that market analysis that I can then provide a personalized list of recommendations to boost the marketability of your home and back up a solid listing strategy that we agree on together.

I will ask you to provide any documentation of work or maintenance completed on the home, as well as average utility costs, and your current property tax bill amount.

Once we make our partnership official and exchange signatures, the listing date will be set and I will set up appointments for photographers and videographers to come through your home to grab all of the visual assets needed for the listing.  After any last minute fixes and preparations have been completed, that is!

This is the time that your coming soon sign will go up in the front yard as we prepare your listing and get ready to launch! I do this to start creating some interest in your property even prior to being on the market.

On the listing date, your house goes live on the market and I email you your listing! You will be notified of any showings and I ask that my clients keep their home in prime showing condition during this time.

And that’s the process!  If you are planning on selling your home anytime soon, I hope this blog post made you feel a bit more prepared.

Happy Selling!!
